GREEN CITY GROWERS RAISED-BED FARMS:

We build, design, and maintain individual and family-sized produce farms for your backyard, deck, driveway  or rooftop. These raised-bed farms can be as small as 4'x4', and will supply you with an abundance of fresh, chemical-free produce year-round. Raised bed farms can be placed anywhere that receives 6 hours of more of sunlight. Backyard farming saves time and energy, while also cutting out the middle man and bringing the produce straight from your yard to the dinner table.  We can also maintain the farm for you, so you don't have to get your hands dirty*!

We offer a diverse selection of Raised-Bed sizes and designs. From one-time consultations to fully weekly maintenance, GCG's comprehensive services will help you get growing, not matter what your skill level or budget.

For the same price as paying a landscaper to cut your grass, we will maintain your produce farm and do all the work for you, from planting to harvest. If you desire to maintain the farm yourself, we can work with you to make that possible.

We also work with restaurants, cafes, churches, temples, nursing homes, and other institutions.

BUSINESS FARMS AND VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS:

Green City Growers can help build a community around your property by creating an active farm at your business. Our volunteer program will engage your employees in the joys of growing food, allowing them to participate in a vital movement while getting outdoors, excited, and learning practical skills that they can apply outside the workplace.

GCG teamed with Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare in 2009 to grow produce at their corporate sites and will continue to produce food at their sites through the Winter and into 2010. All food grown on at their building is donated back to the community

GCG has also worked with Life Care Center of Acton, B.Good Restaurant, and the Longfellow Sports Club.

COLD FRAME INSTALLATION AND FOUR-SEASON HARVESTS:

     

Green City Growers is proud to offer a Four-Season Harvest. Using Cold Frames, we can extend the growing season in the Early Spring and Late Fall, as well as produce and harvest Winter Crops like kale, lettuce, mache, and Asian greens year-round.

Using Cold Frame technology, we can begin the growing season well before an uncovered bed, typically in Early March!

We also offer heat-censored arms that open and close the Cold Frames depending on the temperature inside the bed, so that you don't have to!

Cold Frames can be included in a Four-Season Maintenance Plan, or purchased separately. We can build custom Cold Frame for your pre-existing Raised-Bed or garden space, just give us a call at 617-776-1400.
