GREEN CITY GROWERS RAISED-BEDS:
We build, design, and maintain individual and family-sized produce farms for your backyard, deck, driveway or rooftop. These raised-bed vegetable gardens can be as small as 4'x4', and will supply you with an abundance of fresh, chemical-free produce year-round. Raised-beds can be placed anywhere that receives 6 hours of more of sunlight.
We use only the highest-quality materials to construct our raised-beds. All materials and techniques we use are chemical-free, producing fresh, healthy produce from your yard for years to come.
We treat our fir, spruce, or pine with a non-toxic wood stabilizer that extends the lifespan of the wood by 2x before it begins to degrade.
The
Benefit of a Raised-Bed
is that they can be placed on any surface, including pavement, cement,
rooftops, or contaminated lawns. No matter what your soil content, your
raised-bed is chemical-free. Raised-beds are also very neat and clean looking,
the perfect addition to a well kept lawn, small space, or anywhere!
Installation Costs include the build and installation of raised-beds,
including all soil, irrigation, compost, basic trellising, and basic pest
fencing (if necessary). Custom design options (beyond our basic offering) are
available for both pest fencing and trellising, but are not included in the
cost of build.

MAINTENANCE OPTIONS:
From one-time consultations to fully weekly maintenance, GCG's comprehensive services will help you get growing, not matter what your skill level or budget.
For the same price as paying a landscaper to cut your grass, we will maintain your produce farm and do all the work for you, from planting to harvest. If you desire to maintain the farm yourself, we can work with you to make that possible.

EDUCATION AND ONE-TIME TUTORIALS
Green City Growers offers education and tutorials around every aspect of growing food at home, in your community, or at the workplace. If you have a GCG Raised-bed installed, you can sign up for our Self Farm Course, a hands-on tutorial that will guide you through the planting process with a trained GCG farmer, and give you the starting knowledge to maintain your raised-bed or in-ground site on your own. At your self farm Course, you will be given a resource packet, and will begin to form a year-long planting calendar for your site.

COLD FRAME INSTALLATION AND FOUR-SEASON HARVESTS:
Green City Growers is proud to offer a Four-Season Harvest. Using Cold Frames, we can extend the growing season in the Early Spring and Late Fall, as well as produce and harvest Winter Crops like kale, lettuce, mache, and Asian greens year-round.
Using Cold Frame technology
Cold frames include heat-sensor operated arms that open and close the Cold Frames depending on the temperature inside the bed, so that you don't have to!
Cold Frames can be included in a Four-Season Maintenance Plan, or purchased separately. We can build custom Cold Frame for your pre-existing Raised-Bed or garden space, just give us a call at 617-776-1400.
(Cold Frame installation takes place in the Fall and Early Spring).
COMPOSTING SERVICES:
This year, we will be offering a variety of composting services. If you are interested in having us set up a composter at your home, manage your composting operation, or purchase a worm bin, contact us!
